What size suitcase/bag did you bring to the hospital?

I am 37 weeks tomorrow and have started packing my hospital bag. I have a small suitcase that I have out packed already. I don’t want to feel amusing rolling up in a full size suitcase but I feel I need that much space. Here is a list of what I’m packing. If I’m forgetting something delight let me know. Just wondering what size bag you brought I’m trying hard to not over pack. Thanks:)

List of items bringing:
Baby:
A few diapers, outfit for pictures/going home (only one!) gown that goes with it, blanket, mittens, nail file, pacifier

Was there anything funny that happened at the hospital?

When I was young, I was in the childrens ward and a few things happened that was kind of amusing. Kids took books from the playroom, which they were not to do and hid them under their pillows. They got caught. Small boy kept on asking for a drink, go to the bathroom and kept on taking off his clothes. Kept the nurses busy.

What movie is this? In the last scene the father suffocates his son in his hospital bed…what movie is it?

I just dredge up at the end the limb of the clergy flips the switch on the machine and says “Oh nurse! The machine just glitched” and she says “Oh it does that every now and then.” Then he turns the machine off again, tears the tape off, and suffocates his son with a pillow. Then he puts the tape back on and turns the machine on and walks out the door while all the medical people are rushing in.

What should I take to the hospital?

I’m due in 3 weeks (yay!) and want to make sure I have everything we will need. We want the baby to stay in the room with us and I plot on breastfeeding.

For me:
- 1 nursing gown w/robe and nursing bra
- 1 set of nightdress
- 1 going home outfit (comfy yoga pants & nursing tank top)
- 2 pairs of underwear
- 2 pairs of socks
- 4 sanitary pads and 4 breast pads
- 1 tube of Lansinoh breast cream
- all toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, etc.)
- 2 copies of my birth plot
- 4 prenatal vitamins (since I’m breastfeeding)

i’m makin’ the baby bag for the hospital?

i’m 35 weeks and 5 days pregnant and i’m making the baby bag for my baby boy. I have:
4 one-pieces
3 bodysuits
1 outerwear
2 swaddlers
1 bottle
1 blanket
a lot of diapers
shampoo&body wash for him and for me
1video camera
1camera
1 pacifier
1 nursing pillow
pads
4 pairs of socks
2-mittens
2 hooded towels
do i need anything else???
this is the stuff for him.
BTW, do u reckon a one-piece with the written “punk never die” is too much?
i’m living in italy, and here all the women bring clothes for their babies!

What were your must haves in the hospital?

Hello, Im 36 wks and preparation to pack my hospital bag this weekend.

This is my second pregnancy but id still like to know what you wish you hadnt of brought and what you couldnt have lived with out!

My list as of now includes…
mama-
Nursing pillow
breast pads
nipple cream
“nursing” bras (as of now I have sports bras im waiting to be measured for a excellent one until my milk comes in)
camera/mount
phone/mount
computer/mount
two outfits for after labor including sweats, tanks, socks and panties I dont mind tossing ;)
jolly ranchers to keep my mouth wet ;)
tennis ball for squeezing
and ofcourse my toiletries to take a much needed shower afterwards

I packed my hospital bag, did I miss anything?

light socks & heavy socks, 4 parenthood underwears, loose fitting outfit to come home in, 2 comfy t-shirts & a comfy, nightgown dress (for after im cleaned up), massager for my back, pads, breast pads, nursing bra, my nursing pillow, 2 books to pass time, deoderant, soap, toothbrushes, lufah, hairbrush, hairproducts and makeup fot next day pics, shampoo & conditioner, slippers, robe, clothes for daddy, lip balm, digital camera & extra batteries, digital video camcorder, hair ties, comfy shorts, comfy pj pants in case its cold in hospital, a nursing shirt, a small pad & pen to write down what time he comes out. and other notes. and my pregnancy/baby book to get his way on the page.

and in baby’s bag I packed:
3 diapers, some wipes, hand sanitizer, a few onsies, a couple baby side snap shirts, his comming home outfit, some booties, a couple caps, mits, recieving blankets, travel size pack. with baby lotion, powder, diaper rash cream, ect., ect. his health kit.
anything else that would be helpful?? or somthing i should know? thanks!

what to pack in hospital bag?

i’m 36 weeks & 3 days. i’m early to stress about finishing my bag. i’m just so scatter brained. not to mention this is my first. but this is what i have so far. too much or not sufficient?

for baby:
three different outfits
diapers & wipes
socks
rash cream
pacifiers
burp cloths
socks
nasal aspirator
nail scissors
alcohol & swabs to clean his belly button

Hospital bag for labor&delivery? What should I pack?

My babys not really due until April. {This is my first.} So Im trying to find out what all I need to pack when the time does really get here. Ive made a lsit of things I reckon or have read that I would possibly need. I was wondering if some of you mothers and moms-to-be would go over it and see if theres anything I should add or take off. I dont want to go overboard with the packing, but I want to make sure I have everything! Keep in mind, she will be born is April or March if she decides to come early and the ride out will be radiator.

Confortable cloths & going home outfit.
Chapstick.
Toothbrush & paste.
