Question about co-sleepers for babys & boppy pillows..?

25 Dec

id really like to buy a co-sleeper for my baby (im 36 weeks pregnant) and i heard some excellent, and some not so excellent things about the co-sleepers so i was just wondering if anyone has used one previous to & if they liked them or not? If so, which brand would you suggest?? Also, the Boppy Pillows. Id like to buy one. But again some excellent & some terrible things have been said about them, so if you’ve ever used a nursing pillow, not just for nursing but for tummy time and for sitting up, how well do they work for the price and what brand would you suggest? I know the Boppy is probaly the best, but it is the most expensive also. Thanks for ur answers!!!!

Could you check my hospital bag please? Also tell me if i should take boppy pillow?

19 Dec

I just want to make sure i dont forget anything!! let me know if im missing something delight! im 37 weeks as of today and want to have everything ready just in case

toiletries (head bands,tooth brush/paste,wipes,make up,hand sanitizer,lotion,body spray,body shower,hair brush)
1 nursing gown (should i take another one?) and pj pants
2 nursing bras/ 8 pairs of nursing pads, lansinoh nursing cream
Towel
hair straightner (if i feel up to it)
2 pairs of non skid socks
slippers
going home clothes
dvds since im staying 2 days, ipod, camera, cellphone, chargers…maybe snacks
i reckon thats it,i would go check my bag but im too bone idle lol,
im taking a luggage bag and a small bag for the small things, probably my purse, and my baby’s diaper bag does that sound like too much? i rather take more than miss my stuff at the hospital and take everything instead of asking my bf to get it and him not bringing exactly what i wanted it!! lol
Should i take boppy pillow? i heard its excellent to take it but im taking so much stuff already that i dont wanna seem like im tender to the hospital! lol
thanks for your help!!
yeah mine its not really a boppy its another brand that i cant dredge up the name! lol i guess i meant nursing pillow!!
Oh thats right!! i already have 5 underwaer and my own pads…forgot to place it there
Im bringing my diaper bag because when my sister in law had my nephew she ran out of wipes and nurses took forever to bring him since she was nearly leaving she finished up wiping with wet toilet paper and i just rather have my own stuff and his going home clothes, also his pacifier and 2 blankets since its gonna be really cold in 3 weeks i guess so yeah.
The bags are ready and my boyfriend is going to stay at the hospital with me he is not going back home to get the bags so thats why we r taking everything hes gonna sleep there and all so i dont wanna make him go back home :)

Boppy for breastfeeding twins?

06 Dec

The only nursing pillow I’ve seen specifically designed for twins is $40+, and the Boppy pillows seem to be cheaper overall, so I’m wondering if I should just get the Boppy instead. Have any of you twin moms successfully breastfed using the Boppy pillow? Thanks!

Did you find a Boppy pillow useful?

13 Nov

If so, for what and how ancient was your small one?

I got one, thinking I had to have it for nursing, but it was way too low to hold my baby to the breast when she was small. I wonder if it’s going to be more help now that she’s larger, maybe?

Who has used a Boppy Pillow?

14 Oct

So, my daughter is 4 months ancient and is exclusively breastfed. I bought a nursing pillow from Walmart about 3 months ago. Observably, it supported my daughter all through nursing, tummy time, and so on wonderfully until now. It’s early to get FLAT. So, my question is for any mothers who own/have owned a Boppy Pillow. How much do they usually cost and are they worth the price? Do they last a long time? Do they flatten out quickly? Do they only come in one size? My sister recently received one as a gift at her baby shower and it is much smaller than the one I bought at Walmart. I doubt it will fit around my waist when I nurse my daughter!
Lol thanks Erica, but that is really the pillow I have! I bought it at Walmart for $20.00. The darn thing has failed me!
