Fore & Hind Milk
What should i get my sister for the baby?
My sister is about to pop VERY soon and we are having a shower for her on saturday. Keep in mind that every person is very broke these days. what are some excellent things i can get for her from like walmart? i know she needs sleepers, socks, t-shirts, bibs, diapers, wipes, etc. she is preparation to breast feed so my other sister and i might pitch in to get her a nursing pillow.
its a boy by the way. and i can probably spend about $20 or so. i’ve already gotten a couple of pairs of clothes and a toy. i reckon i bought her some binkies a while back and i just got her a set of baby shampoo and soap
Ten Things to Remember When Taking Your Baby Shopping
Going on a trip with 8 month olds, what to bring?
I have – pack and play, bumbo’s with trays, bottles, formula, nursing pillow, sippy cups, toothbrush / toothpaste, a bag of toys, diaper rash cream, yeast rash cream, disposable diapers, bibs, footed nightdress, coats, shoes, socks, onsies, pants, rompers (going to FL), infant tylenol, camera, cell phone and mount, stroller, baby bjorn carriers, changing pad, wipes, feeding spoons and bowls, swim diapers. They don’t use paci’s anymore.
They eat finger foods so will just get that there.
starting a children’s clothing & accessory boutique, need a name…any ideas?
Ok, I make diaper cakes, baby wipe case covers & children’s clothing (i.e.- dresses, pantaloons, onsies, rompers, bibs, etc.) I also make nursing pillow covers, shopping cart covers, baby quilts, diaper bags, blanket wraps, etc. I’m trying to come up with a name for my business so that I can start promotion online. I absolutely LOVE sunshine & have always had the nickname Small Miss Sunshine so I want to incorporate that in some way if possible…any thoughts? Best answer gets 10 points:) THANKS!!!

Do I need to get rid of our family pet because of our new baby?
My husband had our dog previous to we were married. We’ve been living together for about a year and a half now, were married a year ago, and had our son 3 months ago. Anyways our dog (dachshund) is a complete annoyance these days. Previous to our son he was a very ardent, loving pet, walked off leash well, obeyed, etc. It’s become a real issue, he now barks at everything and wakes the baby, we live in an apartment with a large balcony and he has his dog bed and plenty of covering out there and the ride out is pretty nice taking into account we live in LA so if I ever place him out on the balcony while the baby is napping so that he doesn’t bark and wake the baby every time the phone rings or the doorbell rings, etc. he wines really loudly at the back door, sometimes for hours until someone irrevocably lets him in. It’s like he won’t give up! He used to be a complete outside doggy previous to we went in to the apartment. Now that we’ve spoiled him he goes nuts if he has to be on the balcony. He also takes my sons play toys and runs across the house with them thinking they are his. Yesterday my son was laying on his nursing pillow on the couch next to us and the dog heard the doorbell ring, and factually hopped on top of the baby to run across the couch and get to the door, frightened the hell out of me! He also attacks anyone that comes to the door now that the baby is around. And when my husband is at work and the doggy has to go outside to go potty, its nearly impossible to place him on a leash and carry the baby at the same time, as he used to walk fine off leash, do his business and come back inside, but now he tries to attack everyones feet that comes even close to me or the baby, and I can’t have that! It’s nearly as it he thinks that the baby is his, it’s like a power play. It’s becoming a real issue and my son comes first, I’ve always had dogs and been a pet lover but this dog is becoming a real annoyance and now he could potentially harm the baby. Any other new Moms experienced this with their pets? Any suggestions would help?!
First off, I be with you that he is a living creature but I don’t believe that dogs are humans, nor should they be treated like them, my son does come first so comparing the dog to another child is not exactly the way I look at it. I’m not talking about just disposing of the dog, and I’ve tried being very patient and he does get walks everyday when my husband comes home. I’m just wondering if hes the type of pup that would be better off in an environment where there is no competition for attention. He is acting out towards the baby and I don’t want to become resentful of a small dog. Also, he had extensive dog training and was very obedient previous to the baby. And at this point hubby and I are trying to make ends meet with a new baby in a terrible economy so extensive dog training isn’t exactly in our budget. Any suggestions as to how to do it ourselves would be helpful!
Thecat25: I agree with you fully. He isn’t out on the balcony much of the time he’s in the house with us, but when he acts out or barks non stop he goes on the balcony simply because I don’t know what else to do with him, which is at most an hour or two a day.
